Inner guard fastening consists of using the handguard kits' flush nut setup that fits into a groove on the handguards. A small plastic spacer (1/2" lenght, 3/8" inside diamter) and aluminum allen bolt (M6X 30mm) with washer complete the setup from the bottom.

Sideview. Great hand coverage from rain/wind. The bright white strip is 3M black reflective film custom cut to match the lines of the guard. Looks like the lip is too thin to install SAENG moulding for add'l protection, but some silicone adhesive may just work!

Also note the little gap between the outer, stock bar ends...perfect for hanging the "Don't forget your disc lock, stupid!!" reminder cable!

Here's a detail of the Stainless steel washers I used to tie in the bar weights to the handguard. Seems to work, although I'm sure a more creative cleaner way can be found. The kit comes with a machined piece that fits and spaces the guard, but didn't match up well with the bar ends. With some add'l machining to fit the barend, I bet they would look and function like factory. Loctite the outer 75mm bolts or they will loosen.

Plenty of lever and hand room, even with fat heated gloves.

View from front with FZ1 mirror, HID's, and Rifle touring windscreen. Not too obstrusive.. Do they hit anything? Unfortunately yes, they hit the barn door windscreen at close to full lock and with shield all the way down. A +2 width Cee Baileys did not hit them, however. I just crank the windshield up slightly when doing parking lot manuevers.
